Do you know how to buy laboratory supplies?
Release time:2025-02-13      clicks:534

The purpose of laboratory consumables procurement is to ensure that the quality of reagent consumables used in experiments is stable, reliable and economic. Today, Xiao Bian tells you how to buy common laboratory consumables: centrifugal tubes, suction heads, test tubes, slides, straws, etc., and all reagents (except for special provisions).

1. The staff responsible for consumables shall check all consumables in the laboratory in time, make purchase application regularly, and conduct acceptance inspection when receiving consumables.

2. Laboratory inspectors must strictly abide by the operating procedures, conduct quality tests on the kits received, and determine the specificity, sensitivity, conformity rate and reagent determination limit of the kits for detection of pathogen nucleic acid.

Starting from the two most common types of experimental consumables in the laboratory, the process that should be followed in the purchase of consumables is analyzed.

consumables

1. Relevant procedures should be strictly followed

In the middle of each month, the person in charge of the laboratory shall make an application plan for purchasing consumables according to the work needs of the laboratory and the recent consumption of consumables. At the same time, the consumption and inventory of the previous month shall be provided, and the requisition form shall be filled in for review and signature by the director of the section. Compilation and printing are uniformly purchased and managed by the organization.

2. Collection of consumables

(1) Outer packing inspection:

The packaging should be complete and non-polluting, clearly marked - manufacturer's name, product name, approval number, production date, expiration date, etc.

(2) Inner packaging inspection:

Whether the inner package is damaged, leaked, whether the contents are complete, whether there is a corresponding instruction manual, etc.

(3) The above inspection shall be completed at the time of arrival and recorded at the same time:

Classify and store in reagent reserve area.

3. Quality inspection procedures

Take testing centrifuge tubes as an example

(1) Visual inspection:

Check whether the centrifugal tube is deformed, damaged, and cannot be closed.

Glass instruments are: Germany Schott, Japan Azovang, Germany Hirschmann, day glass, Shu Niu, Huagou, Bomei, gear and so on

(2) Experimental detection:

Centrifugal tubes can basically pass the initial acceptance after passing the visual inspection. If the visual inspection is not qualified or there are even frequent bursts and leaks after the visual inspection, then the experimental personnel will carry out experimental detection.

A. This batch of 30 random sampling centrifugal tubes were used for experimental testing.

B. After adding half a dose of normal saline to 30 visually qualified centrifuge tubes, centrifuge for 20 minutes at 10,000 RPM. If the tube cover is found to burst or leakage occurs, it is considered that the batch of centrifuge tubes do not meet the experimental requirements of this laboratory and will be returned for processing.

C. After the preliminary acceptance, before the batch of centrifuge tubes is put into use, take one, add 50μL distilled water, and test together with the specimen to detect whether the batch of centrifuge tubes are polluted by amplification products.

Take 10 centrifuge tubes and place them in a clean beaker filled with distilled water and soak them for 30 minutes to test the batch of centrifuge tubes for oil ester contamination.

D. The batch of centrifuge tubes can be used after the above test finds no nonconformity.

At the same time, in order to avoid the centrifugal tube bursting due to heating, a plate is added to the heating module during the experiment.

(3) If there is a quality problem with consumables, immediately report in writing to the person in charge of the laboratory, and notify the hospital procurement center to handle the refund and replacement procedures under the informed consent of the department director.

4. Storage of consumables

(1) The consumables before aseptic treatment are placed in the reagent reserve area, and after regular quantitative treatment, they are placed in the reagent preparation area, sample preparation area, amplification area and product analysis area according to the daily workload.

(2) The commonly used consumables are placed in the drawer of the test bench at a fixed point and quantitatively according to the daily workload. Special consumables are kept in designated places.

(3) The dosage should be recorded, and the amount used should be supplemented in a timely manner.

(4) Glass supplies should be placed in the designated location and stored with care to avoid damage.

(5) Before ordering consumables, the quantity should be checked accurately.
